What is People to People?

The People to People Student Ambassador Program dates back to its founding by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956. Eisenhower was acting on his firm belief that direct interaction between ordinary citizens around the world can promote cultural understanding and world peace. That proud legacy lives on today and continues to impact thousands of young people from all over the United States. Homeward Bound

Dear "Peeps",

This is the end of the program, we are now home with our families and friends.  But really, it is not the end at all, it is the beginning of new friendships, new ways of seeing the world, and certainly new ways of looking at ourselves.

It has been an incredible journey.  As I look back through the pictures I am amazed at where we have been, what we have seen and who we have met.  There are many things to ponder in the days and months ahead.  You will forever have special memories of our journey.

You have all exemplified what it means to be a student ambassador.  Everyone of you made me proud to be your leader.  I watched you all grow and show strength of character when it was needed.  Please continue to be great ambassadors for your country, your family and yourselves.

I miss you all already!

Best of Everything,
Barbara
